Laguna Bacalar · Quintana Roo

A private waterfront, regenerative community.

One loop through it, from the dock at dawn and back again at dusk.

Start at the water.

Five hundred metres of private shore on the lake of seven colours, so clear the sand shows through from the air.

Older than breath.

Living stromatolites line these shores, the same kind of life that first filled Earth's air with oxygen. The lagoon renews itself every 72 hours, and because it is fresh water, sargassum never reaches it.

Zoned for 400 homes. Building 118.

282 homesites given back to the jungle. 1,000 permitted hotel rooms held to 45. Twenty-one hectares kept green, so from up here the roofs are hard to find.

Three houses, three architects.

Casa Selva, Casa Lago and Casa Árbol, each set on its own homesite under the trees, with the lagoon a short walk away.

And back to the water.

You just drew the loop.

Dock, lagoon, shore, canopy, home, and back to the dock. XHO's mark is a line drawn round a place worth keeping. Below it: 118 homes on the lagoon, and the rest left to the jungle.

The opening frame is XHO's own drone photograph. The flight between waypoints is generated imagery based on XHO's photography and renders, for illustration. The model is drawn from the 2026 masterplan.
